PORPOISE BOOK REVIEW (One of Us is Lying)

Updated: Sep 14, 2019

Author - Karen McManus

Porpoise Ratings: 7/10

Page Count: 352

Genre: Mystery, Fiction

Overview:

Reminiscent of the greatly loved movie, The Breakfast Club, One of Us Is Lying is about the jock, the brains, the delinquent, the beauty and the victim. Four unsuspecting students at Bayview High witness a murder during an afternoon detention, with no clue as to who did it. Soon after, they are under the scrutinizing eyes of the whole town. One of them is lying, but who is it? This book is available at our school library.

Porpoise thoughts:

Setting: 4/10 basic setting in a school in the United States of America

Characters: five well developed main characters with interesting character development.otable side characters.

Story: plot and topic idea strong at the beginning, towards the end the writing is rushed

Ending: good conclusion, totally unexpected ending very well written book.

Review:

I really enjoyed this book the characters were well written with good development even though the setting was in a school the suspense added to the whole story. It was the topic of many discussions with friends about who did it and not to brag but I guessed correctly.:)
